AppleCare+ availability for Pakistan owners
Apple does not sell AppleCare+ in Pakistan. To get it, your Mac must be purchased in a country where AppleCare+ is sold (US, UK, UAE, etc.) and registered there within 60 days. Most Pakistan-purchased Macs are not eligible.
Even with AppleCare+, service in Pakistan still requires shipping to an authorised service centre in your purchase country — or to UAE if you bought from there. Round-trip shipping + customs typically costs PKR 25,000–40,000 per repair event.
What AppleCare+ actually covers
Two years of hardware coverage extended from one year (three years total for MacBook). Two accidental damage incidents per year with $99 (~PKR 28,000) screen deductible or $299 (~PKR 84,000) other damage deductible. Battery service if health drops below 80%.
Cost: $379 (~PKR 106,000) for MacBook Air, $379–$499 (~PKR 106k–140k) for MacBook Pro 13", $499 (~PKR 140k) for Pro 14", $599 (~PKR 168k) for Pro 16".
Third-party repair cost comparison
Screen replacement at AppleForce: PKR 40,000–110,000 depending on model. Battery: PKR 18,000–35,000. Logic board: PKR 35,000–90,000. Water damage: PKR 15,000–80,000. All with 90-day warranty and 1–3 day turnaround locally.
Math example: a Pakistan-owned Pro 14" with one screen damage event over 3 years = PKR 70,000 at AppleForce vs $499 AppleCare+ + $99 deductible + shipping (~PKR 200,000+ total).
When AppleCare+ wins
If you bought your Mac in the US/UK/UAE and travel there frequently. If you're hard on your hardware (more than two incidents per year). If you specifically need genuine Apple service for warranty validation reasons (rare for private buyers).
When third-party local wins
Mac purchased in Pakistan. Out of original warranty already. Need fast turnaround (1–3 days vs 2–4 weeks). Budget-conscious household. Want repair-it-yourself transparency (we show photos of damaged parts before fitting replacements).
