13" vs 15" — which size to buy
15" is the better choice for most Pakistani buyers in 2026. The price gap is only PKR 60,000–80,000, and the bigger screen + larger trackpad + better speakers are noticeable every day. The 13" is only worth it if maximum portability matters (frequent travel, smaller bags).
Battery life is essentially identical between 13" and 15" (Apple equalised the larger battery with the bigger screen draw).
RAM — 8GB vs 16GB vs 24GB
8GB is the absolute minimum and feels tight by 2026 standards. macOS uses 4–5GB at idle. Chrome with 20 tabs takes 6GB+. 16GB is the sweet spot.
24GB is for users with very specific workflows: large Photoshop files, video editing, running VMs. Don't buy 24GB unless you have a specific reason — it costs PKR 90,000+ extra and most buyers won't notice the benefit.
Storage — 256GB vs 512GB vs 1TB
256GB is tight: macOS + apps + a Photos library can fill it in a year. Resale value is lower too. 512GB is the sweet spot for most users.
1TB only if you do video work, store local Photo libraries, or want long-term headroom. The Apple SSD premium is steep — sometimes a 512GB Mac + external SSD is cheaper than a 1TB Mac.
Colour choice
Starlight (warm cream) and Silver hold value best in Pakistan. Midnight (deep blue-black) shows fingerprints. Space Gray is the safest 'business' choice.
Functionally identical — pick the colour you'll enjoy looking at for 5 years.
