Severity 1: Light splash, Mac was off, no liquid inside (PKR 8k–15k)
A few drops of clean water on the closed Mac, immediately wiped, Mac stayed off. Workshop: open, inspect, ultrasonic clean any reachable area as a precaution, reassemble. Often nothing wrong but worth documenting in case warranty claim later.
Severity 2: Modest spill on keyboard, Mac powered off fast (PKR 15k–30k)
Half-glass of water on the keyboard, Mac powered off within 30 seconds, no liquid pooling. Workshop: full disassembly, ultrasonic clean of logic board + I/O board, replace battery (cheap insurance), reassemble.
Recovery rate: 95%+. Most Macs come back working perfectly.
Severity 3: Full glass of sweet drink, Mac stayed on (PKR 35k–55k)
Coffee, tea, juice, soda, energy drink. Sugars + Mac was running = corrosion already starting. Workshop: extended ultrasonic clean, replacement of any visibly corroded components (capacitors, sometimes resistors), thorough re-test cycle.
Recovery rate: 75–85% if brought in within 24 hours, drops to 50–60% after 72 hours.
Severity 4: Multiple liquid ingress events, or prolonged sit (PKR 50k–80k)
Mac sat with liquid inside for days/weeks (often happens when owner thinks 'it dried itself'). Corrosion is widespread. Workshop: component-level board work to replace failed chips + capacitors, sometimes I/O board replacement.
Recovery rate: 40–60% depending on severity. We diagnose first — if recovery isn't economic, we'll tell you and recommend trade-in to a refurbished Mac.
Severity 5: Sea water, swimming pool, prolonged submersion (PKR 75k+)
Salt + chlorine eats traces fast. Even with immediate action, full recovery rates drop. Workshop: aggressive desalination cycle, board-level rework, replacement of any silver-tarnished components.
Often we can recover data even if the Mac isn't economically repairable. Free diagnosis tells you exactly what's possible before any cost commitment.
